The second day we arrived later, just because we wanted to rest and get the dirt out of our noses, ugh, so dusty on the site. First thing we did at Osheaga was we went to the merchandise tent as the day before I almost didn't get my Blonde Redhead shirt as we discovered the tent way late and as soon as I purchased mine, an hour later there was none left. I was set to buy Interpol t-shirt this time, but oh my they were much more expensive than the shirts the day before so I just bought one and pins for my brother (my original plan was to buy him a t-shirt, but I had enough just for one). I so like the fabric of my Interpol t-shirt though, quality. Uh and then we went and bought a glass pipe for my honey as we had seen those sod the day before and he was tempted and I wanted him to have it as well, us to have it, whatever, it's pretty and oh so put in use in the past days. While we were shopping around, there was Martha Wainwright on the stage, I'm sorry to say this but it was incredibly annoying whining from her, just didn't like it at all. But we set down in the center, got cozy, we had no rush, nothing interesting was on before eight anyways. So we tolerated the annoying woman with her acoustic guitar till Sam Roberts came on stage, now this was acceptable, I'm not familiar with their music but I liked what I heard especially after that horrible lady. We had time to eye the festival site and enjoy beer and company and music and not be so into the bands we were seeing as the previous day was hectic stage eying, it was much more relaxed atmosphere this time and much better weather, no killing heat, but a nice light day. The the Arctic Monkeys came on and they were energetic, not that I listen to them or anything but they seemed very fitting at that time so we moved to the beat, maybe bit too jollily as we had helped ourselves with some vodka at home and beer and green on the site, enjoyable nevertheless. This picture is taken during Arctic Monkeys.
Then it was time for Macy Gray to come on next stage, I didn't have any expectations or interest, but it was very amusing how she came on stage and started screaming out "woohoo" or whatever and the crowd was moving away and the more she screamed the more people left, like huge groups of people running away hehe. At first it seemed to just look like people left because of her voice but more she screamed the more we were convinced that no one liked it, so they left. So did we, we got some coffee to enjoy near the pond. Where it was relaxing to just look around, you can see the biosphere that burnt down years ago, that used to be a bird museum or something, all I think of it is that is a pretty nice ball, mhmh.
Then it was already eight and we were off to see You Say Party! We Say Die! I was so exited about seeing them live. Once they came on stage the guitarist asked the crowd :
"How many of you took the metro here"
(loads of hands come up, screaming)
"Well so did we!!!"
(shitloads of screaming)
"Our van broke down in Cornwall!!!"
Me and my honey we stare at each other and we start laughing, you see that was the place where we got lost on our way back from Niagra, with the "No Cars Go" and "iik, iik, iik" hehe, it's cursed! What were the chances huh?
Oh their gig was fun, energetic, we danced and jumped and screamed along, it was so much fun, they must be one of the best live bands out there. They played most of their songs from their latest album, all the ones I love, I was a happy, happy, bouncy, bee.

As you can see it was pretty hard to snap a good picture, they were like rabbits on speed, so energetic, I mean what else can you expect from an indie dance-punk band huh? I was heart broken that we had to leave before the end of the gig, you see our schedule said Interpol will be on at eight and a half so we didn't want to end up missing the start of Interpol and decent place to view the band, so we decided to leave and it was a big mistake since fucking Gotan Project went oh about half an hour overtime, it means we could have seen the whole gig of You Say Party! We Say Die!, bugger, Gotan Project assholes. We got to go to a platform though , it was a life saver as down on the ground with that much people I wouldn't have seen the stage at all, but that time there were more people than the night before getting their places to see Interpol. When finally Gotan Project finished, people were so exited to see Interpol that they started clapping even befeore lights went on, we were on edge, soon, soon.
And then they came and they looked so fucking stylish, I was in awe. They said " We played at Virgin last night, you guys are so much better" hehe, naturally loads of approving screaming followed that compliment. Take this square heads! Interpol likes us more! They looked amazing, the whole sound was amazing. What I liked the most was how at each break between songs the light went low and smoke came on stage and they sort of froze all in very cool positions, like in a black and white photo of an extremely cool band, it was all planned that way and I loved it, so stylish. Imagine the scene of their silhouettes in the low light, with the fog around them, none of them even moving an inch for half a minute, how stylishly genius is that? And the way their bass player had 2 fags during the gig, stylish way to smoke, it was so incredibly wow, sort of slow puffs, never holding the fag with his fingers but only blowing it out from the side of his mouth, with his new mustache and the long coat and the moves he did, it was just spell bounding. All girls wanted to fuck him and all guys wanted to be him- kind of scenario.
They played most of their known songs (dunno if it is appropriate to say it like this, all theri songs are equal to me), at least few from all albums and they played "C'mere" that is sort of "our" song for me and my honey, we were ecstatic! Also I remember them playing Narc, Slow Hands, Obstacle 1, No I in Threesome, Heinrich Maneuver, Evil, Pioneer To the Falls and PDA. This is what I can remember, I was in a very hyper state of mind tho so there are missing songs, maybe a few wrongly remembered, at gigs you can never rely on your memory. Wooho I saw them live, it was like one of the thing in my list of "things to do before I die" to see Interpol live and i have done it and it was amazing, they were the best of all the bands at Osheaga, very stylish, very into it, very great show and energy and oh the sound quality was to die for!! Yay! Interpol this Way Up!

The perfect day was finished by Bloc Party, I had no expectations for them, also I was Interpol high hehe but they were really good, got the crowd going and all even after Interpol. We didn't stay for the whole gig as we had a lift back home and we were freezing our butts off, but we stayed for half of it , got to dance and hear the singer say, pointing to the left "This crowd here!" he points then to the right "That crowd is beating your arses! Step up!" and after that it was mayhem. It was a good show:
I can't believe I have been this lucky to see all of these bands in just 2 days. I'm so happy! Best 2 days in my life, definitely. Envy me!
